11 week update!
Gosh it's been a while and Quint has done so much and so much has happened since then. Well, Quint's done a lot to me I suppose, since I pretty much live for each new thing he does now :). Quint is now cooing, smiling, blowing bubbles and smacking his lips all the time. His favorite thing to say is "gooo and agooo." And he smiles real big and blows bubbles when I look at him and do it back. He is REALLY starting to focus on things and interact. It is so cool.
Quint went to his first birthday party today at the Dunham Marsh pool, which he thoroughly enjoyed since he loves the outdoors so much. A great discovery, especially when he is fighting his sleep! Pretty much the instant you step outside with him he quiets down. I think he is just so stimulated when he goes outside, it's very cute. Anyhow it was perfect weather today at the birthday part: sunny with partial clouds and breezy. My sweet neighbor Chloe held and walked him in the shade for pretty much the entire afternoon. Which was great for us both! Quint loved it and as much as I love him, it gave me a little break to just chill.
Quint has also been to the beach in Bluffton with his friend Seaborn. He didn't like it at first, but once he got used to it, I think he really liked it! Kind of like us I suppose. I think he was surprised by how cold the water was. I am going to try and post the video later.
Will is deployed, so that is sad, but we are very much looking forward to his return! I am going to try and document and post what I can. Hopefully he can read this downrange and if he can't well then he can catch up when he gets back. I am so grateful to my good friend Dorsey Ketcham who I am staying with for the weekdays while the guys are deployed. I love the company, the drive to work is much shorter so I can spend more time with Quint (Quint is also grateful because he doesn't really like his car seat) and it is just great for fellowship and my piece of mind... especially since I am such a worrywart mom... Quint was a little congested today and I think I almost had a heart attack. I called my good friend, neighbor and mother of 5, Catty Corson today in near hysterics. Thankfully while we were at the pool a kind gentleman named Sean, who turned out to be a doctor took a look at Quint with all of his doctor gadgets. As for me, I'm just counting down the days until I can be a full time mom with my sweet boy!
Well Quint has done a lot and has a lot in store for him. He's got a wedding in early July along with visits from his friends Ashley, Mark and little Tommy Nichols at the end of July and lots of playing and pool time with his friends in Savannah! As for me, I am a little stressed about going back to work, especially since I am anal retentive about Quint's little routines and nuances, but I'll survive and so will he.
I am going to post this now... pictures soon to follow.
