These photos are from a little Pumpkin Patch we went to in Mississippi and a Fall Festival we went to for Regence School. Sorry no captions... no time. I will probably go back and edit them later :)

Avent Park

Of course when we're not riding horses, feeding ducks, playing football, doing the rope swing, riding in sailboats or torturing sitting on patting loving on the dogs, you can find us at Avent Park! Playing the chimes, going down the slide, swinging or at the wheel of many a different vessel!

If you're a dreamer,

...
Come in!

Draw a crazy picture,
Write a nutty poem,
(or two ;))
Sing a mumble-gumble song

Whistle through your comb
Do a looney gooney dance
'Cross the kitchen floor,
Put something silly in this world

That aint been there before!!

Expedition: Rowan Oak

This sequence was taken from a little morning hike we did with the Oxford Mom and Tots group :). Ms. Katie Boyle was our fearless (environmentally aware) guide! The hike was through William Faulkner's property, which he named Rowan Oak after the Roman mythological legend of this oak.

Whose woods these are

I think I know.

The woods are lovely,

dark and deep

But I have promises to keep

And miles to go

Before I sleep!

(I took excerpts from Robert Frost's poem for the captions above :))

This Solitary Tree! a living thing

Produced too slowly ever to decay;

Of form and aspect too magnificent to be destroyed.

... well almost ;)

William Wordsworth
